Artist Statement

My work explores queer expression through the transformative power of physical appearance. Through painting and photography, I celebrate the bold, unfiltered beauty that queer individuals bring to the world through fashion, makeup, and personal style. I gravitate toward maximalist aesthetics—bright colors, eccentric compositions, and dazzling materials—because they embody the joy, defiance, and creativity of queer identity.

At the heart of my work are themes of self-ornamentation, feminine power, and unapologetic self-expression. My portraits and compositions depict queer characters reveling in their own unique styles, inspired by the vibrant communities that embrace and uplift them. Whether through the avant-garde glamour of Ballroom culture, the fearless artistry of Drag, or the influence of contemporary queer icons like Lady Gaga, my art pays tribute to those who dare to live as their authentic selves. By amplifying these stories through whimsical, eye-catching visuals, I hope to capture the spirit of queer confidence and individuality. My work is a love letter to the queer community—a space where self-expression is limitless, identity is celebrated, and beauty is defined on one’s own terms.
